Eskom Rebates
The GeoSolar systems all comply with Eskom standards and have been approved for the Eskom rebate system.
| Q factor is an indication of the kWh of electricity the system is expected to save on a typical day |
GeoSolar uses the latest materials to improve the efficiency of its systems resulting in a higher Q factor and hence a higher Eskom rebate.
The GeoSolar systems include:
- the Geo Solar flat plate collector
- a GAP geyser
- the Geyserwise Max differential controller and pump
Install a GeoSolar, SABS approved and locally manufactured Solar Water Heating system and qualify for the Eskom rebate programme.
The following rebates apply:
| Product |
Rebate |
| 200L Gap geyser and GeoSolar 2.1m2 Blue Fin Panel |

the system is expected to save on a typical day
The typical electricity bill is R1,700 per month and 30-50% of that is for water heating. Using our solar system you can save up to 70% of the water heating cost. The saving per month is approximately 35% or R595. It will therefore take just over 16 months for the solar system to pay for itself.
